July 21, 2006Ombak Luwung Beachfront Estate
A visit to villa ombak luwung will allow you to
experience an entirely new dimension of beauty, peace and tranquility.
Ombak Luwung means "magnificent waves" in the Balinese language. In
other words, villa ombak luwung creates the ideal environment to relax and
enjoy the beautiful blue waters of the Indian Ocean, right at your
doorstep. The name reflects the fact that the ever-changing view of the
sea provides the backdrop for the buildings and its gardens. The
pounding surf will set the rhythm of your stay here. Ombak Luwung is
that very rare combination of absolute beachfront and exclusive
privacy, exquisitely realized in the form of a Balinese-style
architectural masterpiece.
![]() Every element in the design of villa ombak luwung contributes to the harmonious enjoyment of this special place. The placement of the structures, shrines, gardens and ornaments are all informed by ancient Balinese principals that will maximize the peace and well-being of its occupants. The overall design is executed in traditional
Balinese materials and organization. Each room is a separate structure,
with simple elements of natural wood and stone topped with alang alang
(thatched roofs), offset by intricate and fascinating decorative
touches. Naturally, the entire complex is set within lush gardens. The
combined effect of the fundamental design features create a sheltered
and peaceful center courtyard, from which one's attention is inevitably
pulled to the wide-open spaces facing our stunning sea view. From the main entrance, one proceeds
down a shady pergola-covered walkway to the central plaza. On all
sides, you will see massive stone mural-walls depicting scenes of
Balinese village life. On your right stands a two-storey structure
which floats on a giant lilly-pond. The ground floor of this building
is configured as a study/library/media room and can also be used as a
fifth bedroom with en-suite and outdoor shower. Upstairs, another
bedroom provides sea views, an en-suite bathroom and a beautiful
Chinese wedding bed. Look to the left from the plaza and you will see the
wantilan, a traditional Balinese living room. This is the heart of villa ombak luwung, with its comfortable sitting area looking out to the pool
and the ocean beyond. The wantilan is complete with a powder room, wet
kitchen and sound system for your enjoyment. Beside the wantilan is the
kitchen and air-conditioned dining room with seating for up to ten. Opposite the kitchen is a garden-view bedroom with
king size bed and en-suite. This bedroom opens into a private courtyard
with a massage pavilion and outdoor shower. Read more about villa ombak luwung at balinicerate.com, bali private villas rental agency, my official site.

August 24, 2005What is a private villa?A villa is categorized into a private villa if it is walled around, it is not joined with any other adjacent property, it must have a private swimming pool, all facilities are for its guests only, it is served by troop of private staff, and its kitchen is operated by a private chef. Though we can easily find many signs or bilboard of 'villa', in fact, Bali is still lack of private villas. The word 'villa' is now very fashionable and easily used by many simple 'houses' or hut or even small bungalow. On this case we are very careful by making a constant selective evaluation to all villas listed. This is to ensure that the quality of the villa is still on requested standard. ......................taken from 1st page of my website http://www.balinicerate.com
